What is your masculine archetype?
Masculine archetypes are recurring patterns of behavior and energy that show up subconsciously across cultures and time. This quiz works with four core archetypes:
- The King
- The Warrior
- The Magician
- The Lover
You might already sense certain patterns in your life: the same dynamics in relationships, the same kinds of decisions. Archetypes explain a lot of them. The Masculine Archetype Quiz helps you see where those patterns come from and what’s driving them beneath the surface, so you can respond more consciously instead of repeating them.
King, Warrior, Magician, Lover
In this quiz, there are 4 masculine archetypes as your possible result, following the popular framework by Moore & Gilette – click on the following links to learn more about each archetype.
The King Archetype
The King is the source of order and stability, embodying mature leadership, purpose, and the ability to hold space for others without losing direction.
The Warrior Archetype
The Warrior archetype is all about discipline, focus, and embodied action – it’s the part of you that pushes through resistance and gets things done no matter what.
The Magician Archetype
The Magician represents inner wisdom and self-awareness, the ability to see beyond the surface and connect ideas in ways that create deeper understanding and personal transformation.
The Lover Archetype
The Lover is the part of you that longs to connect deeply, to feel fully, and to engage with life in a way that is passionate and emotionally alive.
Every man expresses all four to some degree – but usually, one or two dominate. Knowing your dominant masculine archetype can help you find inner balance by expressing your natural strengths more fiercely, making peace with your shadow, and cultivating archetypal traits you might be missing for optimal growth.
Ideally, you learn to access all four archetypes and move between them depending on what a situation requires – this is a process Carl Jung, who first studied and defined the concept of archetypes, referred to as individuation.
